
Fact Check: The Reality of Gatherings
Through Freedom of Information requests, Police Scotland have revealed there were no recorded incidents of intimidation or harassment at thirteen different locations across Scotland between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2021.
There is no record of crime at any of the following locations
between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2021:
Sandyford Sexual Health Clinic, Glasgow
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow
Chalmers Sexual Health Clinic, Edinburgh
Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh
Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, Aberdeen
Ninewells Hospital, Dundee
St John's Hospital, Livingston
University Hospital Wishaw, Lanarkshire
Forth Valley Hospital, Larbert
Borders General Hospital, Melrose
Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, Dumfries
Oak Tree Family Centre, Stranraer
University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have ‘no recorded information about any incidents associated with pro-life prayer vigil groups or pro-choice groups’ at either Queen Elizabeth University Hospital or Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Such vigils take place on the public highway and not on hospital grounds.
We asked Police Scotland and NHS Scotland: Have there been any recorded incidents or intimidation or harassment associated with gatherings outside hospitals in Scotland.
